Steps

1Rinse the filter, mount the AeroPress on the cup.
216 g of coffee, pour 210 g of water, start the timer.
3Stir for 10 s.0:10
4At 1:30, press slowly until 2:00.0:30

Tips

  • Lower the temperature (~85–90 °C) to soften an acidic coffee.
  • Press gently: if it resists a lot, your grind is too fine.

Common mistakes

  • Pressing too hard or too fast → bitterness and spurting.
  • Grind too fine → a plug when pressing.

Variations

Inverted (Counter Culture)18 g / 210 g, 96 °C: flip at 1:30 and press until 2:00 — more control over steep time.
Metal filterMore body and oils, less clarity.
